Nearly 300 people packed the Wichita Marriott banquet room for Holy Savior's 12th Annual Red & Black Banquet on October 11.

This year's event, "Moving Forward," raised more than $74,000 for Holy Savior Catholic Church & Academy. That total is the most ever raised at the banquet, and was 40 percent more than what was raised at last year's event.

Susan Peters served as the emcee for the evening, and shared the good news about a $10,000 matching gift that was being provided by Rob Snyder for a future playground on the Holy Savior grounds. Holy Savior parishioners Gene and Yolanda Camarena were the keynote speakers. The event also included music from the Holy Savior Catholic Academy Children's Choir, the Holy Savior Catholic Church Gospel Choir and the Holy Savior Catholic Church Men's Choir. The banquet also featured both a live auction, led by Charlie Moon, and a silent auction.

Holy Savior thanks everyone who supported the banquet, including this year's sponsors: Central Mechanical Wichita, LLC; Hometown Logo; Simpson Construction and Joe Ruocco.  Please save the date for the 13th Annual Red & Black Banquet: Saturday, October 10 at the Wichita Marriott.
