As you know, in 2015, Holy Savior Catholic Church created a campus master plan for our parish and Holy Savior Catholic Academy. Through the incredible generosity of our parishioners and benefactors of time, talent and treasure to A New Hope, A New Home: Built of Living Stones campaign, we have completed Phase I. Holy Savior Catholic Church and Academy has been blessed beyond measure.
Now, with gratitude and hope, we are beginning to plan for Phase II of the Built of Living Stones campaign. This phase will include a gymnasium, two additional classrooms, permanent church administrative space, and a small health clinic.
Recently, we mailed parishioners and benefactors a fact sheet detailing our proposed plans with an invitation to participate in a comprehensive planning study. The study is being conducted to determine if there is sufficient support to move forward with a major fundraising effort for Phase II.
The planning study is being conducted by the Steier Group, a Catholic development and fundraising firm. They are surveying Holy Savior parishioners and benefactors through interviews and mail and online questionnaires.
Should you wish to complete the Planning Study questionnaire, please click here. Once on the page, make sure to click on the Holy Savior Catholic Church and Academy survey option. When prompted for the case sensitive password, please enter: Holy Savior.

Pratt Community College is pleased to announce Chariah Daniels as a 2020-2021 Above and Beyond Honor Scholar. The Above and Beyond Honors Scholarship is the highest academic award available from PCC.
“This scholarship award means a lot to me,” said Daniels. “It means that I do not have to stress about paying for school, and it also means that I do not have to give my parents the burden of paying for school.”
“The Above and Beyond Honors award provides full tuition and books plus a stipend of $500.00 per semester,” said Monette DePew, Interim Vice President of Instruction. “This is one of the best scholarships available anywhere and it is the highest award available from Pratt Community College.”
Daniels, of Wichita, will be a freshman this fall and will be working towards her degree in pre-engineering.
“I plan to go to Pratt and study pre-engineering, then go to a 4 year college and become a Mechanical Engineer,” said Daniels. “I also plan on playing basketball at Pratt and then moving on to a 4 year university.”
Daniels is currently a senior at Northeast Magnet H.S., where she is involved in National Honors Society, Law Magnet, and basketball. In basketball she is a team captain, 4 year letter earner, and received honorable mention her sophomore and junior years.
“This scholarship award will help me in many ways. For one, I can focus on my studies without having to worry about paying for school,” said Daniels. “It also will help me to be focused on being in a great basketball program. With this money I can solely focus on getting better at basketball and being a great teammate.”
Daniels also actively helps coordinate pep rallies, volunteers within her church, assists with the Fashionetta scholarship fundraiser event, Random Acts of Kindness and Red Ribbon Week activities.
During her high school career, Daniels has maintained an accumulative 3.86 grade point average and scored a 24 on her ACT.
To be eligible, the student must meet or exceed two of the three eligibility criteria: ACT composite score of 25 or higher, top 10 percent class rank and/ or have a 3.6 cumulative grade point average or higher. We are honored to announce that Pamela K. Mason, LMSW, Department of Children and Family Services, State of Kansas and Children First board member has received the Kansas Public Health Association Special Service Award. This award is for individuals who have rendered outstanding service to Kansas in the interest of public health and/or environmental improvement. Pamela was nominated by Kathleen Webb, Executive Director for Children First CEO Kansas Inc. for outstanding community work in Wichita, which included her work at Holy Savior Catholic Academy.

Two hundred and sixty (260) kids from four Wichita area schools, including Holy Savior Catholic Academy mastered the No Soda Challenge sponsored by Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. The rules were simple: no soda pop for thirty (30) days this past February. The reward for each student that avoided the temptation of having a soda pop, even just one, was a field trip to Exploration Place. Each school had their own special day at Exploration Place including watching a documentary in the Dome theater, exhibits on Aviation and the life of a spy, the infamous castle, and a present for their school picked out by the students.
Thank you to Delta Dental Community Care Foundation!
