The spring came suddenly bursting upon the world as a child bursts into a room, with a laugh and a shout and hands full of flowers~ by Henry Wadsworth

We welcome Spring with open arms! This is the time of year in Wichita when we learn to dress in layers! In the spring, we experience winter and summer all in one day! Take note of this and please make sure that your child has a jacket (labeled with their name) here at school, every day! It is very cold in the morning and can be very cold in the afternoon.Summer uniforms are not to be worn until April.

March is the month when we have one of our favorite activities!  We have our life cycle of a seed. Students will be able to identify basic parts of plants by observing one that they grow in class and recording what they see! The plant life cycle consists of four stages:  seed, sprout, small plant, and adult plant. The students will germinate (the roots will start growing) a seed in a plastic bag. When the seed gets planted into the soil we will send it home to get water and sun, then it will start to grow into a small adult bean plant.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION on  FEBRUARY 28 WAS  BOTH FEBRUARY AND MARCH

Fat Tuesday is March 4, 2025, 3rd graders will be celebrating our DIVISION CHALLENGE students will receive a reward if they know their division facts from 1-10. Which will also be our SMALL Mardi Gras Celebration.

Please make sure that your child arrives at school at 7:30 so they can have breakfast , or promptly  at 7:45 to start class.! It is very disruptive to the focus of the class for you to arrive during morning work time 7:45-800 a.m.!

Please find and send BOOKBAGS & AGENDAS with students.

If you bring medications,  creams, ointments, or lotions to school parents must label them with your child’s name and the date you brought in the product. Be sure to also fill out a medication form, even if the product is just a non-medicated diaper cream or lotion and take it to the office.

March 3 CSAL track and Field Practice begins

March 5 Late Start Class begin at 9:00 am and Ashes will be  distributed at 10 am

March 14  NO SCHOOL  parent- teacher conferences

March 17-21  SPRING BREAK
